# Introduction

Official CryptEarn Whitepaper, last updated March 2023

CryptEarn is a platform that connects play-to-earn, play-to-own and play-and-earn gamers with investors.

CryptEarn started as a Guild where we worked on democratizing digital assets between games and players. The Guild project, as well as a previous gaming experience, taught CryptEarn about the landscape of Web3 gaming projects:

* In-game economies
* Digital Asset Ownership
* The long-term impact of a game's playability and economy
* Community and Governance value

Based on objective facts, CryptEarn made the right choices when it came to selecting projects, finding players, and ranking in the top spots.

CryptEarn also identified problems within the space:

1. **The volatility in the crypto markets leads to less venture funding being accessible to games.** Games are relying on NFT sales to keep building.
2. **The blockchain doesn't have standardization, and developers cannot build due to the lack of interoperability, knowledge, and resources.** The result is making games that are not fun to play and don't drive mass adoption.

CryptEarn Launchpad, CryptEarn Guild, CryptEarn Research, and Cryptearn Platform are the solutions to both of these problems.
